Membership Eligibility
Individuals who have management or professional responsibilities in a human resources administrative function of a healthcare institution may join AHHRA as a Practitioner. Categories
Consultant -For individuals who are full-time HR consultants with at least three (3) years experience as a HR practitioner at the exempt level. An HR consultant is defined as an individual hired by a company to perform otherwise internal HR functions. The consultant is not an employee of a company, but rather, through a contractual relationship, services as an extension of or in lieu of the HR department offering specialized knowledge or experience in a functional area (e.g. employee benefits).
Associate -For individuals who do not meet any of the other categories but are engaged in the profession of HR management in an organization that serves the HR practitioner whether by providing a product or service. This will include such providers as temporary and permanent placement agencies, recruitment services, outplacement services, rehabilitation services, relocation services, financial planning services, recruitment advertising services or other related services. Individuals who serve these firms in an internal HR practitioner role and meet the requirement for practitioner membership will be classified as Practitioner Members.
